Can I get onto an air force base without my military ID?

I'm a military dependent (navy), and I recently lost my ID card. Well, I'll need to get onto the Peterson Air Force Base to get a new one made. Will I be able to go through the gates without a military ID? My dad is deceased so I can't go with an actual military. My mom doesn't have time to go with me either, so is there any possible way I can get on myself? If I show them my license or something can they look my status up? Or am I locked out forever?
