Should I buy an audio interface or tube pre-amp to record vocals?

I want to record vocals with my AT 4040 mic and currently have a very cheap preamp. Am I better off spending my money on something like the Presonus Firebox (which has only "decent" preamps), or buy a higher quality tube pre-amp for a few hundred bucks and go digital right into my computer (i have a sound blaster audigy card with a bunch of different inputs)? I use Steinberg LE to record but don't know what other factors might come into play. Thanks for any help you can provide! (Also, any good tube pre-amp recommendations are welcome).

He said nope nope nope your good till next month. I said okay.. that was that. two says later a girl says you have an over due charge of 9.99... I told her the story About the 15.99.. the general manager pulled me aside and said no u need to pay it or u can't work out here basically. He called some lady I didn't listen but paid it. then again nxt month said I ad overdue charges I said I don't owe anything. I called the customer service b.c. I wanted to cancell for multiple reasons and she told me I owe nothing and if I can restart whenever and i owe nothing. well.... I told the guy I'd have my dad talk to him trust me you dont want that) He said "is that a threat" I said no but I said you don't want to talk to him. I said I go to a top law school know plenty of people who know law and can take this higher up if we couldn't settle it with a refund of 30 dollars. I was injured, mislead, fee's were posted for most gyms would include for free in their systems but it didn't state that. He referred me to some guy who was "higher"... I asked him to settle for my $30 back b.c. thats what small claims says to do. He has such a bad deminor... yelled at me.. I said you know no no no no... I have had multiple problems I can take this higher (he said is that a threat and I was haring him)... He made me so upset and was so rude. Um I think I am the one who was hared? I didn't hare him I laid out facts of how I was going to do this. Basically I feel there was a hidden agenda this guy was this general mangers friend. It's hard to say that it is the era of PG dominance in the NBA as probably the top four or five players in the league all play different positions, ie. Kobe, LeBron, Wade, Durant, Howard and also the Lakers just won the title last year without a dominant PG. And I would say that the front runners for the title this year are lacking the dominant PG, Lakers with Fisher, Cavs with Mo Williams(good but not dominant), and Magic with Nelson(again good but not dominant). The PG is an improving position and I do think that most of these players will be great for a long time but remember when was the last time that a team who's best player was a PG won the title? Maybe Detroit with Billups otherwise you would have to go all the way back to Magic's Lakers...and Magic was a once in a lifetime kind of player as a PG.

i got a problem and it really stresses me out..hope to find some advice here..my situation is i am Au-pair here in netherlands and i met my boyfriend here and decided to live with him..we applied for partner visa after i ended with my au pair visa the IND gave me 6 months extension until they give me the result of the our partner visa....first i got denied so we p letter of objection... on march 16 i received the second result which was denied again..so i decided to go back to my own country which is in asia..my problem is..because of stress and dissapointment it caused us to booked a wrong flight for me it is on april 18 which is a none refundable and changes is not permitted.because we want to be together as long as my pport is valid..we forgot about the letter..the IND states on the letter that i must leaVE netherlands 28 days the moment i recieved their letter...we forgot all about this rule..we based so much on my pport which was the validity date is on april 20...meaning i must leave netherlands already on april 13 which was my 28 days.. my question is..shall they banned me because of this? and i will be flying from frankfurt,germany as my origin..will they find it out? so sad that it needs a lot of requirements to be with the one you love..is the love not enough? we just want to be happy but now it will be ended as long distance relationship...thank you for reading... your advise will be much more ppreciated..

I've been depressed since middle school now due to bullying and social problems and its carried on into high school as well. Im a junior now and im much more social and have a lot of friends but still suffering mentally. I had a girlfriend over the past summer that i fell for and though it was short lived she was probably the most important person to come into my life. it wasn't my first gf or anything, i have been in other relationships but i felt like we were so connected and perfect all the time. never fought once. im not sure why but she ended it. right there i lost my best friend i had ever had. she was the only person in the world i ever really felt in tune with. i can't even get along with my own family for the most part and even my other close friends and past gf piss me off. so, i know this sounds stupid... its high school and a dumb relationship but now, seven months later it still bugs me every day. and i don't know why. its not like ive chosen to cling onto it, but the whole experience and the fact that she never talks to me any more even as a friend kills me every day. mentally i can not let it go. she used to also be a place for me to turn when times got rough. a sort of motivation i guess to keep going. now i dont have that and im back into my naturally depressed state and on top of all of this im getting loaded up with pointless amounts of work and my parents are pushing hard for college prep. not that my grades weren't already good. i make high b's and a's and scored a 1910 or so on my SAT. it's not like im going to be homeless but they still won't back off and the pressure of all of this is corroding my sanity. the ONLY time im ever happy anymore, even remotely, is when im at band practice. i front a local metal band and live for music. im trying to get this project going but all the stress is taking away from my time spent on music which is furthering my depression and now for a long time i've been on the serious brink of suicide. i seem to have no interest left in life, i've lost all my energy... i know it probably sounds like typical teen angst or whatever but it goes a lot deeper than that im just not good at writing things out like this.. i need advice

Boyfriend might be breaking up with me?

Me and my boyfriend are both 21. We've been together for about a year and a half. As of Sunday everything still seemed fine and normal to me. And he told me he'd see me tomorrow... Well Monday night around 8 I sent him a text asking if he was still coming over and he said he wasn't. When I asked why, he just said he didn't want to. When I probed more he just told me he didn't know what was wrong with him and he just needed his space right now. So for the whole week I haven't really heard from him and don't know what's going on or why. I'll get to finally talk to him in a couple of days. But he has never acted like this the entire time we've been together. We've never had any serious problems or fights. We're a pretty laid back couple. Prior to that night he's still telling me he loves me and talking about next time I come back to his town we'll go to this certain restaurant and everything. I don't think someone can just fall out of love with someone in the matter of a couple days unless he's just been lying this whole time which I don't think is the case. But the only explanation I can think of is he's thinking about breaking up, but I can't think of any reason why... It has been tearing me apart and I can't eat, lost like 7 pounds. I love this guy more than anything and it'll completely destroy me. If anybody has any insight or advice it'd be greatly appreciated.

since i started puberty, when i was about 11 or 12, my "mother"(i don't like 2 call her mom at all) have always been accusing me of lusting after my stepfather, or sleeping with him, to the point where he has left twice but he came back,because she begs him to,without him there isn't any income(she doesn't work). Dropping out of college because its making me miserable and depressed?

i started a media course in septemer. its a 9 month course and when i signed up for it and started i was genuinly excited about it and i couldnt wait o start something new after leaving school. but as the months ped i started to loose so much interest. it really wasnt what i expected it to be and now going into the course is making me miserable and depressed. its knocked my self esteem and the people in my course are less than friendly and quite y about everything. the work load has become to much to handle and i've had several panic attacks about it, and even the thought of going in. i missed like 4 weeks of the course because of this and from being sick and seriously not having money to travel to the course. i've been asked by my tutor before christmas would i consider dropping out and after christmas break i missed the first week back because of being sick. and my tutor has again said it to me about dropping and told me that the people in the college over attendance are discussing my expoltion (kicking me out). my tutor also said to keep coming into the course as normal though until i recieve a letter from the people over attendance in the college. i would totally drop out, but its my parents. they are dead set on me staying in it and making an effort. but i physically and mentally cant, i'm drained and worn out with it. i've told my parents several times how miserable its making me and about the panic attacks, one of which my dad witnessed. it feels like they'd rather see me miserable and anytime i try to talk to them about it they're like ''sure whats there to talk about, you're staying in it and thats that.''. it feels like there's no consideration for my mental well-being with them when i try to discuss dropping out. i just need them to understand in the best possible way (without an arguement) that i need to this for myself and do whats right for me. but they really dont see it that way. i feel like it's so unfair, because my brother dropped out of secondary school when he was 16 and they let him do that. ****, i FINISHED school AND i'm attempting college, but again, it doesnt seem to matter. i feel i'm wasting precious money i dont have on travelling up and down to a course i hate and am failing in because i'm not bothered about it, i'm wastin my time, my parents and tutor's time too. so, i need some advice from you guys! how can i help my parents see how miserable i am? and get them to see my point of view. i seriously need help with this one! advice and help will mucho appriciated. cheers! I am looking for 190 - 200 proof alcohol for tincturing plant material for human consumption as a form of medicine. (only drops are being ingested at at time - no for glugging purposes!) Does anyone know where to find a good supplier for this, or knows how I can make it...?

Help please so confused about weaning!?

I didnt take Charleigh off formula until she was just over 12 months and even then i choose to giv eher toddler formula mixed with milk as it has alot more nutrients etc in it. I also still fed Charleigh her bottles until she was about 14 maybe even 15 months (she only had a night time bottle then). Have you tried the sippy straw cup with formula??? He will learn in his own time. You can also try adding milk/formula to his foods to attribute to his daily intake of milk like cereal in the morning, even adding milk to his vegies or whatever else he is eating. I started adding milk to Charleigh foods at about 9 months and at 11 months i started giving her half and half bottles and just after 12 months i stopped day bottles all together and just made sure she drank/ate alot of dairy rich foods like milk/cheese/yogurt etc and she still had (and even now at nearly 18 month) her night bottle. I know many people who's children still have a night bottle at 2 + so dont worry yourself to much about it now. Charleigh is the same when it comes to drinking out of sippy cups, she will have a bit here and there but doesnt drink a whole lot in one go hence why i still give her the bedtime bottle. Good luck he will get there eventually :)

Wilting rose bush. What to do?

I planted a rose (disneyland resort rose) in an appropriate container. She stared sprouting new growth but all of a sudden they're starting to wilt. I think you just have some unlucky friends or they are at fault for the problems. KWA pretty much is the all around BEST airsoft company on the market now. There excellent externals and unmatched internals put them there. There G36 series is an excellent series too. A friend own one and loves it and has no problems. So yes, the KWA G36 Commando is an excellent route to take. The only other brands I would recommend that make a G36 would be ARES (H&K) and Echo 1, but I still think KWA is even better than those.

I have kept all of the above in a pond, but it was an indoor tropical pond. I doubt your guppies, mollies, tetras, or gouramis would survive with those drastic temperature shifts. I would normally say that a lionhead goldfish would probably be fine, but 90 degrees is pretty toasty for them. One year when my outdoor pond got outrageously hot from a heat spell, I lost several of my koi. Barbs are definitely fish that can tolerate colder temperatures, but I'm not sure if as low as 40 is okay.

What random act of kindness done to you do you remember?

My car broke down on a lonely dirt road 20 miles from the next town (a tiny place with a population of less than 100) , after several hours waiting a couple of tourists in a van stopped and after hearing my problem they drove on to the town and sent a mechanic out to me by which time it was night. The mechanic got my car going and I stayed at the town campsite that night , the tourists in the van were also there I thanked them of course and also paid their camping fees for the night.

Why does religion consume my life???

Religion is just driving me crazy. Most of my family are Christian and I would love to have strong faith like them but doubt seeps in all the time and I look at other religions and its like, how come Christianity is the only one thats right and completely invalidates all of these other religions? If I lived in India or something, their country's religion would probably be doing the same thing that this country does with the vast majority being Christian in saying that their religion is the right one and all others are the wrong one. I look into different religions a lot and on some days Christianity does make sense to me and on other days, it just feels like a crock of you know what. Yet, I never let my failures determine my next step. Instead, I allow my failures to teach me a lesson, and a different approach for the next time. I've come along way from when I was a freshmen, to now a senior. Over the years, my attitude and priories have changed. I now understand, the essence of taking your education seriously and what happens when you do not, due to laziness and a careless attitude. I have reached my goal so far, but I won't let my pride get in the way and stop there, I will continue to receive good grades for the rest of my senior year. I will leave high school feeling accomplished. I may not be where I started, but I will not ruin a second chance, I am given. Nothing can get in my way. Not even frustration, tears, or laziness, the only thing that might effect me is my determination and lack of sleep. But, in the end, It will pay of in each semester.
